How to Transfer Data from Android or iPhone to HTC One A9/M9/X9

Congratulations! You've got a new Android phone, say a HTC One M9, A9, or M10. However, transferring all of your old data to the new smartphone can be a daunting task. Take it easy. Whether you have an Android or iPhone, HTC makes it easier than ever to move almost everything from your old smartphone to your new HTC One M9/A9, with its free Transfer Tool and Sync Manager. Here's how to set them up.

Part 1: Transfer Android Data to HTC One A9/M9/M10
HTC Transfer Tool is a free app to transfer your important data, including contacts, messages, calendar events, music, photos, videos, and some settings from old Android phone to your new HTC phone in a few simple steps.

1. Download the HTC Transfer Tool from Google Play Store to your old Android phone, install it and open the tool.
2. On your new HTC phone, go to Settings and click on Get content from another phone. Select Other Android phone, choose Full transfer and hit Next.

3. Now a PIN will be displayed on both screens. Tap Confirm on your old Android phone and choose the types of content you want to transfer, tap Transfer and then tap Yes.
4. The selected data will be quickly transferred to your new HTC phone. Wait for the transfer to finish, then tap Done on both phones to end the process.

Note: Your old Android phone should run version 2.2 or later to use the HTC Transfer Tool.

Part 2: Transfer iPhone Data to HTC One A9/M9/M10
If you are switching from an iPhone, you can use HTC Sync Manager, which makes it super easy to restore iTunes backup files including contacts, calendar, SMS, photos, videos, wallpaper and bookmarks to your new HTC phone.

1. Download the HTC Sync Manager tool from the company's web site to your computer, install it.
2. Connect your old iPhone to your computer and create a backup file with iTunes. If you've recently made an iTunes backup, please skip this step.
3. Connect your new HTC phone to your computer and open HTC Sync Manager, then click Home > Transfer & Backup.
4. Click Get Started and select your iPhone backup file in the pop-up window, then click OK.

5. Now select the types of content you want to transfer to your HTC phone. Then click Start and wait for the HTC Sync Manager to finish transferring data.

Note: You can choose whether to replace the content on your HTC phone with the iPhone backup content.

Write In the End
Both the HTC Transfer Tool and HTC Sync Manager are free tools that make it easier and convenient to transfer data to your new HTC phone. But the two programs don't work all the time. If your old data haven't been transferred completely, don't worry, we suggest you give Jihosoft Mobile Data Transfer a try. It is an all-in-one data transfer tool that helps to transfer contacts, text messages, photos, videos, music and more from Android/iPhone to HTC One A9/M9/M10 in one click.
